The parish council was very sad to hear that Ann is hanging up her coat in December as she will be missed by many.
We would like to thank her for helping to keep children safe in Fairfield with her kind and friendly manner.
We would however like to continue to have a Road Crossing Officer so if you, or anyone you know, is interested, the job advert can be viewed here

Police
In emergency dial 999. For non urgent matters you can dial 101 or report using the online system on the Bedfordshire Police website.
Highways Matters
Central Bedfordshire Council have a 24/7 phone line to deal with emergency highways matters such as fallen trees blocking a road, traffic light failures etc. Please contact them on 0300 300 8049.
Doctors
The out of hours number is 111. They will direct you to an out-of-hours doctor if required.
There are Accident and Emergency Departments at Bedford General Hospital and Lister Hopital, Stevenage. There are also daytime (until 10PM) non-urgent walk-in centres at Bedford General Hospital and the QE2 Hospital in Welwyn Garden City.
