As Christmas Day and New Year’s Day both fall on our normal Tuesday collection days, a reminder to all to put Black bins out on Christmas Eve, December 24 and Green bins out on Wednesday January 2nd.
CBC will make a roadside Christmas tree collection during the weeks Monday January 7th-Friday 18th on our normal collection day. However, Fairfield Parish Council, in conjunction with Fairfield Park Residents Company, are again arranging two collection points for your discarded trees. The first will be on land between the rear of Fairfield Hall and Hardy Way and opposite the Fairfield Hall waste compound. The second will be on the land near the junction of Bronte Avenue and Emily Place.
Both sites will be clearly signposted and will remain open until Friday January 18.
Christmas trees take about 30 years to rot down so please use one of the collection points and do not dump your unwanted tree in the shelter belt.
