Planning permission granted for school and new housing

Central Bedfordshire Council’s Development Management Committee have approved the detailed plans for the new Fairfield Park Lower School on the Eastern side of Hitchin Road. The plans will see a further 300 places added to the existing Dickens Boulevard building in what will become a two site school. The committee also gave outline permission for 180 houses to be built on land between the former Pig Testing Station site and the school.
