The accounts of the Fairfield Parish Council have been given a clean bill of health by the Government appointed auditor.
Town and Parish Councils accounts are audited twice each year, once by a council appointed independent auditor and then the Government appointed auditor. Each year the external auditors are required to undertake additional audit work for a sample of smaller authorities with income and expenditure of £200,000 or less. Fairfield Parish Council was chosen for an intermediate audit as part of the sample for 2017/18 and this was required to provide additional information.
The accounts have now been signed by Durham-based accountants, Mazars, without comment by them.
The annual return can be read here and includes download links.
