Anglian Water (AW) are now monitoring the FPC Facebook page and will respond.
Please use it to report reoccurrences of the smell or ask questions. This follows a discussion and agreement today between CBC (Central Bedfordshire Council) Ward Councillor Steve Dixon and AW CEO Peter Simpson.
Several residents have requested a direct link with AW and this provides it. At the same time, we have been assured by AW that the situation will be monitored during the Christmas period and beyond and staff will be available to deal with any breakdown.
The legal position and many other points were dealt with in our detailed post on December 15. Residents are requested to read this again as it dealt with many issues.
The Abatement Notice remains, and will remain, in force. As stated, AW have until December 28 to appeal against this notice. If they do not, then they have until March 31 to solve the issue.
But it is imperative that as many of the affected residents as possible continue to complete the diary sheets. If you are not doing so the forms and instructions can be downloaded from links on the FPC website at www.fairfieldparishcouncil.gov.uk.
This is necessary to reinforce evidence collected already and that can be used if the matter ever goes to court.
