The Fairfield WI Craft group have been busy again, this time making a Christmassy top for our Dickens Boulevard Post Box. It was given its debut on the day the Christmas Lights were switched on and has amused and been admired by many

Police
In emergency dial 999. For non urgent matters you can dial 101 or report using the online system on the Bedfordshire Police website.
Highways Matters
Central Bedfordshire Council have a 24/7 phone line to deal with emergency highways matters such as fallen trees blocking a road, traffic light failures etc. Please contact them on 0300 300 8049.
Doctors
The out of hours number is 111. They will direct you to an out-of-hours doctor if required.
There are Accident and Emergency Departments at Bedford General Hospital and Lister Hopital, Stevenage. There are also daytime (until 10PM) non-urgent walk-in centres at Bedford General Hospital and the QE2 Hospital in Welwyn Garden City.
